~5 years old~

"Gilbert!" The young (h/c) girl cried as her friend sized the tree up. "Gilbert, no! We can get an adult" She pleaded, but the stubborn albino boy shook his head and rubbed his hands together. He turned to face the girl, who had a look of concern on her face. He grinned widely at her.

"It's fine, (Name)!" He assured her, but she frowned more. "I'll get the Frisbee. I mean, what un-awesome person wouldn't do that for a pretty girl? I'm awesome so I'll do it myself!" The comment made (Name) blush, but she still wasn't happy. She didn't want her best friend to get hurt over something so little.

"B-But Gil! It's dangerous! You could fall!!" She said as he strode confidently up to the tree. He waved her off.

"Danger is my middle name!" He smirked and winked at her, making her cheeks red again before grabbing a low branch and hauling himself up. (Name) was really getting worried now, and her (e/c) eyes flooded with concern and fear. The branches weren't stable, and they both knew that.

"No, Gilbert! Please stop!!!" Tears filled up her eyes and she clutched her hands to her chest. He stopped about 7 feet up, gazing down at her with crimson eyes.

"Nein, Frau, the awesome me will get your Frisbee down! Don't worry, I'll be fine!" He smiled and continued his journey up the rickety tree, the small, (s/c) girl waiting faithfully at the base of the tree.

"Gil!" She called when he was almost to the toy. He looked down at her, ignoring the height.

    "Yes, Frau?"

She swallowed. "Don't you dare get hurt!"

    The albino merely smiled.

"Gil, I don't think this is a good idea!" (Name) whispered to her best friend, who adjusted the door so the bucket wouldn't topple over. The (h/l) girl looked around anxiously.

"Oh, please, Frau." He stepped off the small ladder and gave her a white smile. "I see older kids do this all the time in movies! It's so awesome like me, I had to try it!" He dragged the ladder to the corner of the room and snickered. "Oh boy, when Luddy walks in, he's gonna get it!!"

(Name) narrowed her eyes at him. "And you're going to get it when he catches you!" She hissed, taking another glance around. Gilbert just laughed and slung an arm around her shoulders.

"(Name), we won't get caught, I promise. Luddy will get mad, and then we'll all have a good laugh. It'll be fine." He assured her. She bit her lip and moved away, crossing her arms.

    "But what if-"

"Nein, don't think about 'what if's', just focus on the present. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Really, (Name), I promise everything will be fine." He smiled, and she looked down with pink painted cheeks.

"....Ok..I trust you..." She said quietly, and he grinned, walking up to her.

"See? That's all you gotta do! Everything will be alright, I promise. It's just an awesome prank." He held his head up.

"...Promise?" She asked, making sure he'd stick to his word.

"I promise. And if Luddy does get really mad, then I'll take all the blame because I'm awesome like that." He stated, and the (h/c) girl offered a small smile.

"Alright, Gil, as long as you promise." He nodded and crossed his heart.

"And, Gilbert?" She looked up at him with warm orbs of (e/c).

    "Yes, Frau?"

"Don't you dare break that promise."

    The albino merely smiled.

"What a boring day!" Gilbert complained as he and his best friend walked home. (Name) simply hummed, walking straight while the albino slouched.

"Nothing was fun today!! It was so un-awesome." He groaned. She rolled her eyes. He pouted at her. "What, did you have a good day?" He asked, crossing his arms. She smiled big and nodded.

Gilbert stared at her. "Really? What happened? Was it awesome?!" He wanted to know every little detail.

She laughed softly, a small pink blush enveloping her cheeks. "Yes, it was awesome." The (e/c) eyed girl brushed a lock of (h/c) behind her ear.

    Gilbert gasped. "How?!"

She giggled lightly. "Because you were there." Her (e/c) eyes darted to the cold grey concrete.

He stopped for a minute to process it, and when he did, he grinned big and hugged her tightly. "Danke, Frau!!" He exclaimed, and she hugged him back.

He let go of her and they stood there, alone on the side of the street.

"I have something to tell you." Gilbert started, a serious look on his face. It was unusual, (Name) noted, so she gave him her full attention.

"Yes, Gil?" She asked, the wind gently rustling her (h/l/) (h/c) locks.

"(Name), I love you." He said, gripping her waist tightly. She blushed, her hands flying to his chest where they gripped his shirt tightly.

"Gil..." She breathed. "I love you too."

And they kissed passionately. Both pairs of soft, warm lips moved in sync, and they held each other closer, as if to silently vow never to let go. The kiss was perfect, gentle and tender, yet firm and still full of love. It was beautiful to them both.

When they parted, they gazed at each other for a long time before walking home with Gil's arm around (Name)'s shoulders.

"Gil?" The (s/c) girl broke the silence for a moment.

    "Yes, Frau?"

    "Don't you dare leave me."

    The albino merely smiled.

"..You may now, kiss the bride."

(Name) and Gilbert smiled at each other before pulling one another into a passionate kiss, full of love and warmth. Their lips moved together, and they stayed connected for a while. The red eyed male even dipped the (h/c) girl.

After they split, they kept smiling at each other, both happier than they'd ever been.

"I love you, Gil." (Name) said softly.

"I love you, too, Frau." The albino lifted her up right and led her to the reception, where the guests got food and sat down at white tables.

After a long night of dancing, toasting, and little pecks, Gilbert and his new wife (Name) were dancing calmly, alone. They swayed with each other softly, easily, with fluid motions whenever Gil dipped or twirled her. Their movements were gentle and caring, treating one another like fragile glass.

"I really love you, Gilbert." The (h/c) girl stated softly, giving him a precious smile.

He held her closer. "I love you too, (Name), a lot." She rested her head on his shoulder, her arms draped around his neck. His rested on her waist, wrapping around it and hugging her, breathing in her sweet scent.

    "Gil?" She piped up softly.

    "Yes, Frau?" He asked.

"Don't you dare stop loving me."

    The albino merely smiled.

"I wouldn't dream of it." And he kissed her lips softly once more.
