Marco x Reader {Bumping}

    'I've gotta hurry or I'm gonna be late!'

    You were in a frantic rush, carrying your books and binders as you rushed down the street to school. Usually you took the bus because, obviously, that was faster, but today you had woken up late and missed it, so now it was about a mile or so run through the neighborhood to your school.
    
    Your heart was pumping, blood roaring in your ears. Your arms nearly ached from the tight grip you had on your binders but you ignored that, dashing down the road and taking sharp turns in order to get to school on time. 

    Looking down at your watch, you saw that you had just a small margin of 3 minutes to make it to class on time. Panicking more than before, your backpack bounced with your steps as you pushed yourself to run faster. You didn't want to be late to class or see the disappointed look on your teacher's face or have to deal with everyone staring as you took the walk of shame to your seat. That was the worst.

    You were about to rush across the street and had looked behind you to watch for cars when you suddenly slammed into someone who, surprisingly, kept their balance as you took a tumble towards the ground.

    Thankfully, you caught yourself. You hissed quietly as your hands protested in pain, aching from the hard impact. Looking to your left you saw your papers all scattered across the sidewalk. With a groan you moved to begin collecting them and were surprised to see who you had bumped into was beginning to help you clean up all the scattered sheets of paper.

    You had to pause what you were doing just to stare at him. He was a very cute male with black hair and adorable freckles scattered across his pale skin. You had never seen him before; or had you? Wasn't he the one who took almost all AP classes? Didn't you pass him on your way to math?

    He looked up to meet your gaze with amber eyes. He smiled at you and you blinked a few times to snap yourself out of the daze you'd gotten in.

    "Hey, are you alright?" He asked. You just stared at him for a few seconds before snapping out of it.

    "Oh," You said, trying to register his soft and velvet voice. "Oh! Yes! Yes, I'm okay," you laughed nervously, trying to clean up your papers. 'He's so cute..'

    "Alright," he said as you both stacked the papers neatly together and you slid them back into your binder for reorganization for later. "I'm sorry-"

    You cut him off, realizing you hadn't apologized for slamming into him like that. "I am so sorry! I can't believe I ran into you like that and then didn't even apologize!"

    He laughed cutely and you spotted a dimple near his eye. 'Oh sweet Jesus he is so cute.' You thought.

    "Oh no, don't worry. I'm sorry I was just standing there, I was spacing off. I was trying to remember if I had forgotten anything at my house." He explained. You nodded, and then realization hit you. School!

    "Oh no, I am so late!" You checked the time on your watch, which told you that you were, in fact, 2 minutes late for school.
    
    The cute male smiled again. "Hey, it's okay. If I tell your teacher you were with me, you won't get in trouble. They know me pretty well and I'm- not to brag, but- probably the most responsible, straight A student at school. I could help you out."

    You stared at him for a moment. 'Is he an angel or what?' You asked yourself. Clearing your throat, you looked at him hopefully.

    "Really? You'd do that for me?"

    "Of course, my name's Marco by the way; Marco Bodt." You smiled and introduced yourself as well, and the two of you walked to school, chatting along the way.
    
    You learned that he was the boy you saw on your way to math, and you also discovered more about him as well as his close friends. Marco was super nice and generous, and you both shared your favorite things with each other as well as a few interesting stories. You were starting to really like Marco, and you really wanted to be his friend and get to know him more. 

    You both made it to school and stopped outside your classroom. You smiled up at him and he smiled back, and your heart beat sped up just a little.

    "Well, thank you for all this trouble," you said. He waved his hand in the air.
    
    "Oh, it's no trouble. Anything for a friend." He laughed softly. You gazed at him in slight shock. 'Friend? I'm his friend..' 

    You nodded. "Okay, thank you Marco." He grinned and you took in a breath, opening the door and stepping into the classroom.

    Instantly, you were met with the angered eyes of your teacher. "Well, I-"

    "It's okay," Marco stepped up beside you. "They're with me. I was getting something for school that I had forgotten."

    The teacher looked at both of you, then nodded. "Well, take your seat. Have a nice day, Mr. Bodt." Marco nodded and you waved to each other before he left and you slid into your seat.

    As the teacher continued the lesson, you took out the spilled papers from your binder and noticed something in the corner of one of your worksheets. It was a little note and a phone number written in beautiful handwriting with a blue ink pen.
