You pushed open the door to your apartment, heaving out a heavy sigh. You toed off your shoes, tossing your keys and your bag on the counter. You rubbed your tired eyes, rolling your neck and shoulders to work out the kinks. Hands came down on your shoulders, gently guiding you toward the couch. You sat down obediently, allowing the appendages to rub your stiff muscles, relaxing and soothing them. You smiled faintly.
"Thank you, Annie."
"Of course." Was all she said before it went quiet again and she focused on you.
You sighed, leaning into her firm, but gentle grasp. Annie was always there for you when you needed her, and she was always so understanding. You hated working long days, but Annie was always there for you when it was over.
She finished up massaging you, standing up to bring you some warm tea. You accepted it with a grateful smile, and Annie brushed some hair from your forehead before kissing it gently. She left, and you sunk into the couch, cupping your tea with a grin.
You loved Annie more than anything. Even if she didn't express it very often, you knew she loved you just as much.
"Annie, thank you." You said when she wandered back into the room, changed into her pajamas. She just nodded, moving into the kitchen to prepare some food. You gulped down the rest of your tea, setting the cup aside and walking toward the bedroom to change into some more comfortable clothes.
Once you felt comfy, you walked back out to settle into the couch. A few minutes later, Annie handed you some dinner, to which you thanked her with another smile. She nodded once more, but you saw her lips quirk up just a tiny bit.
You both ate in silence, and the blonde girl took your plates once you finished dinner. You curled up against the arm of the couch, yawning tiredly. Your eyes drooped, and your exhaustion took over. You slowly dozed off, slipping into the land of dreams.
When Annie came back in, she stopped at the sight of you asleep on the couch. She allowed herself a small smile, wrapping you in a plush blanket and carrying you into the bedroom. She laid you on the bed, smiling as you snuggled deeper into the comforter draped across you.
"Goodnight, (Name)," She said softly, kissing your cheek. "I love you." And she walked out, closing the door quietly behind you.
In your sleep, you smiled.

The moment you get home, you're certain that you'll collapse.
With haste, you make your way to your bedroom. It wasn't difficult to navigate your one small apartment, even with all the clothes strewn about. You haphazardly stumble into your room, before plopping onto your bed. The mattress creaks beneath your weight, causing you to wince. Cheap material gives cheap results.
A relieved sigh leaves your lips as your eyes shut tightly. A long day at campus, jotting down notes, listening to Professors speak, dealing with annoying classmates... the list goes on. Despite this, you're grateful to be receiving an education.

[Modern!AU] Kissing Booths [Annie x Reader]
It was a mystery to you. Standing in the cold, with the lights of lanterns reflecting from your cheeks, you stared out into the crowd, who seemed to avoid you more as time passed on. You never considered yourself to be truly repulsive, at least no to where you should be avoided to such amplitude; and according to a certain bald gentleman, there were two people that you definitely knew to have a crush on you, one was Nac, and the other you only knew that they secretly harbored feelings for you. Surely if they found you attractive, some others must have. That's why you didn't understand exactly why no one came to your booth.

Just Be My Friend (Annie x FemmReader) 4/?
“I was...I was scared. I didn't know why you fainted...” Annie whispers, as she leans her forehead against yours, causing you to blush ever so slightly. What would I do without her?...you ask yourself. “I'm just glad you're okay now.” You were surprised at Annie's openness. You feel her arms tighten around you as she whispers barely audibly.
“I'm joining the Military Police...”
“What?” You ask quietly, looking at the crown of Annie's head as she continues to rest on your chest. She tightens her grip around you.
“I-I'm sorry.” She whispers, in a voice you can just barely hear. You
