Protected {Titan!Eren x Young!Reader}

    You wailed, not knowing what else to do anymore. Your Father and Mother had taken off with your older sister and had left you behind. The titans had gotten past the gate, and soon enough one of them was going to find you.

    You refused to move, huddled up in an alley way sobbing. How could your family leave behind one of their own children? Even though they always favored your perfect older sister, you thought they still loved you. Apparently, you were wrong.

    Large footsteps approached you, and you held your breath, choking back sobs. A large eye appeared at the end of the alley way, and you screamed. Standing up, you turned and ran out of the alley. You were now exposed, out in the open. You spun in a frantic circle, searching for safety though you were sure no place was safe anymore. You turned and saw a large titan headed for you, grinning madly. Gasping, you turned and tried to out-run the monster, but you knew it would catch up to you.

    'This is it....I'm gone...' You cried out as you tripped over some rubble, twisting your ankle painfully and scraping your palms. You turned to see the titan approaching. A few more steps and it would reach for you, devouring you whole.

    You looked in front of you to see another titan, only it looked different. It had muscles, and dark hair with pointed ears. This titan also had brilliant eyes, you noted. The ground shook around you, and you realized that titan was fighting another one. Could it be...?

    Without thinking, you screamed, pleading to be rescued. You watched the strange titan turn its head, eyes settling on you before it pulled off the head of the one it was fighting. Instantly, it rushed toward you, and more tears poured out of your eyes. What if you'd made a mistake? What if it was a variant and would try and eat you too? Oh God no..

    You turned back to the other titan, screeching as it loomed over you. It extended a hand, the ground shook, and then it was tackled by the different titan.

    You rolled over onto your back, your hands holding yourself up. You scooted backwards until your body hit a large boulder and watched the special titan attack the other with a flurry of punches and an angered roar. Your body shook with fear and adrenaline, and you gasped for breath, your eyes still watery.

    After the different titan had thoroughly smashed the other to bits, it turned and looked around, as if searching for other victims. When no other titans approached, its lovely green eyes settled on you. Your heart sped up, and you stared at it as it came closer.

    It extended a hand gently, the palm facing up, and you realized this titan was not going to eat you. Tentatively, you reached toward its fingers, and the index finger slowly moved toward you. The skin was warm and slightly rough. Looking back up to the titan, it groaned lowly, almost like a purr.

    Sucking in a shaky breath, you used the digit for support and helped yourself up, limping into the palm of the titan's hand. You sat down, agony settling in your bones and the adrenaline wearing off. You now felt exhausted.

    Carefully, the titan's fingers curled a bit, and it rose its hand up to its face. You stared into those big green eyes that you liked a lot, blushing at the adoring, gentle look in its eyes. So this was a nice titan.

    The titan's thumb curled toward you, the digit gently pressing the side of your face. Your eyes slipped shut at the feeling, and you sighed, leaning against it and wrapping it in your arms. Opening one of your eyes, you looked back up at the titan before extending your small arm outward, reaching for the creature's nose.

    It got the idea and leaned its face closer, and your fingers met the warm skin. You rubbed it lightly, your eyes meeting the large green ones once more. They closed, and the titan let out a pleased purring noise. You smiled.

    "Thank you." You managed to get out, your voice shaky and hoarse. A growl was all the indication you got, and the titan pulled its face away. You hugged the digit as the creature stood, its other hand coming up to cover your small body. It looked around before walking off toward somewhere.

    You shut your eyes as you were cloaked in darkness. You could see a little with the light seeping through the spaces between the titans fingers. It was growing warmer, but you didn't mind. You could hear the faint screams and the stomps of the titans, but the journey was smooth, and you grew weary.

    A couple minutes later, the hand opened up, and cool air hit your skin. The fingers uncurled, and you turned around to see where you were, not letting go of the thumb. You saw a group of people, some gasped and stared at you while others held blades and called out to the titan with the name Eren. Eren...

    You glanced at the faces before turning back to the titan. Green eyes gazed softly at you and the creature gestured to the people with its head. Frowning, you turned, adjusting your body to maneuver safely onto the rooftop. You didn't want to leave the titan.

    A black haired girl with a red scarf and a blonde boy with blue eyes came up, holding their arms out to you. You reached out, taking their hands as they lifted you off the warm hand. Immediately, you turned toward the titan dubbed 'Eren', your eyes watering.

    The creature purred once more before turning and running off, engaging in another battle with a regular titan.

    "Hi there," The blonde boy said gently. You turned to him, and he picked you up, noticing your limp and swollen ankle. "My name's Armin. What's yours?"

    "(Name)..." You said, your voice still hoarse from screaming. Armin nodded, smiling at you as he walked up the rooftop, a few people from the group following.

    "And how old are you, (Name)?" He asked, sitting down and placing you in his lap. You leaned against him, grateful for his kindness.

    "I'm 9." You said, watching as a blonde girl came up to you with a sweet smile. You smiled back weakly, and she leaned in, kissing your cheek before beginning to wrap up your ankle. You ignored the pain.

    "And what happened out there?" Armin asked you. You frowned.

    "Mommy and daddy left me alone..." The blonde girl who was wrapping your ankle gasped, a hurt expression crossing her face. Others around you murmured sympathetically.

    "A titan came, so I ran, but then another titan came." You explained. "I saw the pretty titan fighting another one, and so I yelled, and the pretty titan came to my rescue. The pretty titan was nice, he purred for me!" You turned slightly to look at Armin, and he was smiling.

    "So Eren saved you?" You nodded, and the blonde girl finished wrapping your ankle.

    "All finished! Oh, I'm Christa." She smiled, and you waved shyly.

    "C'mon," A boy with two-toned hair stepped forward, picking you up. "Let's get her to a safe place."


    Hours later, Eren returned, having used up all his energy to seal up the hole in the gate. The black haired girl with the red scarf, who you knew was Mikasa, and the boy with two-toned hair, who was called Jean, left with a few others and returned.

    A brunette haired boy and unique turquoise eyes came up to you, smiling widely. He crouched in front of you where you were sitting in between Armin and Christa.

    "Hey there." He said, looking over you. His eyes lingered on your ankle before they danced back up to meet yours, and you stared back calmly. "I'm Eren, the titan that saved you."

    You gasped, your eyes going wide, and you flung yourself at him, hugging him. He chuckled along with a few others, holding you gently, but firmly in his arms.

    "Thank you for saving me." You whispered, nuzzling closer. He sat down, holding you in his lap.

    "You don't have to worry, now, because I will always protect you, no matter what." You yawned, snuggling closer. He smiled stroking your hair before you fell asleep, feeling safe and secure in Eren's arms.
